Databricks Health & Safety Measures
Mask Mandate
In compliance with Anaheim's current mega-event policy, properly worn Kn95 masks will be required at Databricks CKO FY23. A mask is defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric used to completely cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly against the sides of the face. Face shields, bandanas, and masks with ventilation will not be allowed. Masks may be removed while eating and drinking.
Vaccine Requirement
In-person attendees will be required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Fully vaccinated is defined as 2 weeks (14 full days) after the final dose of a government-approved vaccine. Boosters are not required at this time, but we recommend them for all eligible Bricksters.
Accepted Vaccinations
All vaccines approved for emergency or full use by the World Health Organization will be accepted for in-person attendance at this event. These currently include vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, J&J/Janssen, Sinopharm, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, and Covishield. This list will be updated as new vaccines are accepted. Boosters are not required at this time, but we recommend them for all eligible Bricksters.
Vaccine Verification
Record of COVID-19 vaccination must be provided at onsite check-in to receive your Databricks CKO FY23 badge and gain entry to the event. The following are acceptable ways to provide proof of vaccination:
- Digital pass issued by any government entity that clearly shows proof of vaccination/vaccination record. Proof must be viewable by our staff without scanning a QR code and needs to show:
- Recipient’s name (matching that of the event attendee)
- Vaccine manufacturer
- Date(s) vaccine(s) was/were given, indicating the number of doses necessary along with the number given (e.g., 1 of 1 OR 1 of 2 AND 2 of 2).
- Printed certificate/pass/card issued by any government entity that meets the same guidelines as above.
- A legible photograph of a certificate/pass/card/ issued by any government entity that meets the same guidelines as above.
While we’re hopeful this doesn’t apply to any of our attendees, please note that the use of fraudulent vaccine records is strictly forbidden.
Abide by Other Participants’ Social Distance Comfort Levels
We will provide color coded stickers for attendees to wear, to indicate their preference on social distancing comfort levels. All attendees are asked to be respectful of each other’s social distance comfort level.
- Red - Hi! I’m keeping my distance
- Yellow - OK with talking but not touching
- Green - OK with handshakes and fist bumps
Badge Pick-Up and Event Entry Process
Attendees will be required to have proof of vaccination verified in order to enter the ‘event zone.’
Upon arrival at the event, each attendee will experience:
- Verification of vaccination and badge redemption
- Confirmation of properly-worn /accepted face-covering
- Available onsite PPE offerings
Once an attendee receives their badge, that will be considered their proof of vaccination for the duration of the event.
Additional Onsite Safety Measures
- Testing will be conducted daily onsite for all attendees. Check the Health and Safety page for more information
- All Bricksters need to test before they arrive in Anaheim. Domestic Bricskters can take an at home test, International Bricksters should follow airline and CDC guidelines.
- Mask mandate, except when outdoors, when eating and drinking in designated areas or when delivering a session presentation
- Outdoor areas for mask breaks and eating/drinking and indoor eating/drinking areas, with individual seating, in socially distanced areas
- We will make an effort to reduce event room capacities with wider aisles and distanced seating
- More physical space in event rooms between speaker and attendees, to allow speakers to give their talks without wearing masks, while keeping attendees at a safe distance
- Rigorous onsite cleaning and sanitizing of all touch points
- Sneeze guards at registration and any staffed food and beverage stations
- Pre-packaged food and beverage wherever possible
- Anyone serving food and beverage will be required to wear gloves in addition to a mask
- Sanitizing speaker microphones between each speaker’s use
- At a minimum, we will be following all mandated venue, municipality, and CDC guidelines. This list, and all protocols, are subject to change as the fluid COVID-19 situation changes.
